Aviary
The main character in this portfolio was a regular visitor in my tree during the summer of 2023. He tolerated my presence to the point where we developed a trust bond — he posed, I snapped. As you can see, he was also a bit of a goofball. He found his mate in the fall and they made their nest nearby but in a tree removed from my photographic reach. My same tree received other visitors, over the past few years, including a Bald Eagle, a Great Blue Heron (or two), an American Kestrel, and a few hawks.
